Sony Walkman WM-DD9
The WM-DD9 is considered by many the finest Walkman Sony ever made. It was certainly their top of the range model when released in 1990 and sported only the finest components including soft-touch buttons, gold plated headphone socket, two independent disk drive motors (meaning no belts), amorphous head, push-button reverse, Dolby B+C and much more.
The care and quality that went into this machine is obvious once you start using it and naturally the sound produced is lovely and clear. Even details such as a simple release battery compartment are nice touches.
This example is offered in very good working condition and comes with its original soft leather outer case (which has helped protect it over the years). The paintwork is very good except for three tiny black marks on the reverse corner and a scratch inside on the battery compartment.
These machines are very highly regarded by collectors and will only continue to rise in value.
