Pair 1970s Spendor BC1 Floor Speakers
The Spendor BC1 speaker was designed in the late 1960s by an ex BBC sound engineer named Spencer Hughes and quickly earned itself a very good reputation for its naturalness of sound quality. The cases are a birch and birch wood veneer mix and the BC of the title refers to the Bextrene Cone and Celestion Speakers.
This pair are offered in nice working condition overall although the Blue Alnico drivers have been replaced at some point with a more recent pair of MCM ones. The cases have been sympathetically cleaned, french repolished and waxed to retain some of their age marks and character and the fronts have been reclothed. They date to the 1970s and are sequentially numbered.
